Acceptable Use Policy

These rules explain what is not allowed on SchoolOS so schools can run safe, trustworthy digital operations.

Last updated: April 29, 2026

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy helps protect schools, students, parents, staff, partners, and the SchoolOS platform. It applies to every user, school workspace, school website, portal, API, file upload, message, and integration connected to SchoolOS.

2. Prohibited activity

You may not use SchoolOS to do anything illegal, harmful, misleading, abusive, or unsafe.

  • Access, copy, change, delete, or share data without permission.
  • Attempt to bypass authentication, roles, rate limits, billing controls, security checks, or tenant boundaries.
  • Upload malware, scripts, spam, phishing content, fake payment notices, or fraudulent school information.
  • Harass, threaten, exploit, shame, or discriminate against any student, parent, staff member, or user.
  • Publish sensitive student, parent, staff, financial, medical, or disciplinary information without proper authority.
  • Send bulk messages that users did not request or that violate email, SMS, or WhatsApp rules.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, overload, scan, or disrupt SchoolOS systems without written permission.

3. School administrator responsibilities

School administrators must assign user roles carefully, remove access when users leave, keep school content accurate, and train users to handle student and parent data responsibly.

If a school suspects account misuse, data exposure, or unauthorized access, it should contact SchoolOS support promptly.

4. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, block messages, disable integrations, or terminate access when needed to protect users or the platform.

Where practical, we will notify the affected school or account owner, but urgent security or safety issues may require immediate action.

5. Reporting abuse

Report suspected abuse, spam, impersonation, security issues, or unsafe content to hello@schoolos.ng with the school name, URL, screenshots if available, and a short explanation.
